The following is an update on the latest COVID-19 related impacts to Ningbo port in the Greater China Area. We continue to closely monitor the situation and are doing our best to keep your supply chain moving.
Key Highlights
- Container load and discharge operations keep normal in the three terminals near the epidemic area of Beilun district.
- Container gate-in and gate out operations are permitted only through 5 dedicated channels including 4 highspeed intersections (Beilu, Chaiqiao, Guoju, Chuanshan) and one road between NBCT and NBSCT from 16:00 PM 1st of Jan in the three terminals.

Of the five container terminals in Ningbo, 3 terminals below are located near the epidemic area of Beilun district in Ningbo while no positive case is reported in the terminals.

Landside Service
Trucking service in Jinhua Yongkang, the mid-high-risk area of Beilun district of Ningbo and the area outside Zhejiang province remains suspended under the strict regulation by the epidemic prevention policy. Zhejiang Provincial Government, local governments and Ningbo port have issued policies for the control and prevention against epidemic outbreak. Trucking service providers are actively applying for the relevant certificates for vehicles and drivers in accordance with policy requirements. Nearly 10% of the transportation capacity is gradually recovered. Maersk Intercontinental rail, Maersk Sea-rail and Barge service are available as alternative solutions in the short term.
